Meet Our Team
Hannah Watkins is a senior studying Mechanical Engineering at Stanford. She grew up in Abu Dhabi, where the worsening desert heat spurred her to act against climate change. She hopes to apply her technical skillset towards creative solutions around resource circularity.
Joseph Kao is an MSx candidate in the Graduate School of Business. With a decade of experience in materials R&D, he has led the development of six inventions from lab to market, spanning AR/VR optical coatings to biodegradable 3D printing materials. Motivated by his work advising Apple's e-waste recycling initiative, he wants to continue advocating for circular economy principles through Stanford All About No Waste.
Michelle Leung is a coterm student at Stanford University in Sustainability Science and Practice, with a background in human-computer interaction and design. Her experience photographing waste management facilities in high school sparked a deep interest in the circular economy and its waste and energy implications. She is passionate about redefining resource usage and designing thoughtful solutions for people and the planet.
Caroline Ling (Founder)
Caroline Ling is a Stanford Graduate School of Business MBA pursuing a joint MS Degree in Environment & Resources. With a previous background in human-centered design and digital innovation, she is passionate about leveraging behavioral design and technologies to achieve circular economy at scale.
Julie Muir (Advisor)
Julie has over 25 years of experience in the waste reduction, reuse, recycling, composting and solid waste industry. Currently, she is leading the implementation of the zero waste plan at Stanford University. Previously, Julie had been the Community Relations and Zero Waste Manager at Peninsula Sanitary Service, Inc., a local, family owned recycling and solid waste company that collects, processes and hauls recyclables, compostables and solid waste.
