Fall 2020 PSSI Virtual Tour

Julie Muir, the Stanford Zero Waste Systems Manager, gave us a virtual tour of the campus waste, recycling and compost collection system.  Stanford partners with its hauler, PSSI, to collect landfill waste, recyclables, compostables and other types of material and send them to the appropriate off campus facility.  The video, created by PSSI, shows PSSI's operation and the different trucks and equipment they use to collect material by waste stream.  Julie shared about the end destinations for the material and the challenges and opportunities to do more waste diversion.
